My co-worker is having twins - one boy and one girl. We threw her a baby shower today. She got so many cute things! I think she was surprised - but she did come in dressed all cute today, so not sure if someone slipped or if she over heard us. It was lots of fun watching her open the presents and seeing all the cute gifts she got. I decided to crochet her some baby booties (my very fist ones). Everyone loved them and thought they looked store bought. I added cute tags to them - in the front they said "Crocheted with love for you" and on the back I provided garment instructions (based on the yarn label). I guess that's why some people thought they were store bought and were surprised to hear that I had made them. So here is a picture of the booties I made. Now I have to make some for my sister who is expecting a girl in late summer.

Today we went to see the Cherry Blossoms in Branch Brook park and they were in full bloom! So glad the day cooperated. Lots of people came out to see the beautiful blooms. There was lots of good food and activities. I took over 200 pictures, wow! No wonder the battery was low by the time we were leaving ... lol. This year I picked up a t-shirt to as my memento. So here are some of the pics from this year's Bloomfest. If you live in NJ, I highly recommend that you go to Bloomfest next year.
Next weekend they are hosting the Susan G Komen Race for the cure, so if you did not make it out there this weekend, you can go there next weekend to support a good cause. For info visit: http://www.komennorthjersey.org/site/PageServer?pagename=race_RaceHome
